I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
